The Book of Zakah
باب: وجُوبُ الزَكَاة
CHAPTER 1. It is obligatory to pay the Zakât.
702. عَنِ ابْنِ عَبّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا: أَنّ النّبِيّ صلى الله عليه وسلم: بَعَثَ مُعَاذًا رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ, فَقَالَ: (ادْعُهُمْ إِلَى: شَهَادَةِ أَنْ لاَ إِلهَ إِلاَ اللهُ وَأَنّي رَسُولُ اللهِ, فَإِنْ هُمْ أَطَاعُوا لِذلِكَ, فَأَعْلِمْهُمْ أَنّ اللهَ قَدِ افْتَرَضَ عَلَيْهِمْ خَمْسَ صَلَوَاتٍ في كُلّ يَوْمٍ وَلَيْلَةٍ, فَإِنْ هُمْ أَطَاعُوا لِذلِكَ, فَأَعْلِمْهُمْ أَنّ اللهَ افْتَرَضَ عَلَيْهِمْ صَدَقَةً في أَمْوَالِهِمْ, تُؤْخَذُ مِنْ أَغْنِيَائِهِمْ وَتُرَدّ عَلَى فُقَرَائِهِمْ). رواه البخاري: 1395
702. Narrated Ibn ‘Abbâs رضى الله عنهما : The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم sent Mu’âdh رضى الله عنه to Yemen and said, Invite the people to testify that Lâ ilâha illAllâh (none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh) and I am Allâh’s Messenger (Islâmic Monotheism), and if they obey you to do so, then inform them that Allâh has enjoined on them five Salât (prayers) in every day and night (in twentyfour hours), and if they obey you to do so, then inform them that Allâh has made it obligatory for them to pay the Sadaqa (Zakât) from their properties and it is to be taken from the wealthy among them and given to the poor among them. The character and nature of Bedouins.
Allah would take offence at ill behaviour towards Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم but he himself would not.
Seeing softness and humbleness as a weakness.
Pleasing and pacifying one’s wife when she is angry.
Pushing one’s husband too far when he is angry.
