Lesson 220 of the Commentary of the Book of Hajj from al Tajrid al Sarih (The Abridged Saheeh al Bukhari) by Shaykh Abu Yusuf Riyadh ul Haq. Hadeeth 802-803. Delivered on Friday 13th February 2009.

The boycott of Banu Hashim & Banu Mutallib.
What did the boycott involve?
The clans of Quraish.
Banu Mutallib joined Banu Hashim out of solidarity.
The hardships suffered during the boycott.
Abu Talib informed the Quraish that their document has been eaten up by termites.
Proceeding with caution and wisdom as we learn from the Sunnah.
The rulers of the past would consult the Ulema.
